Robotic warehouse networks that keep robots moving

When a robot loses its connection, it stops, and so does your throughput. Beyond the Network builds robotic warehouse networks with robot-grade WiFi and a low latency backbone. We have deployed and supported the network for a goods-to-person warehouse robotics system, integrated with the WMS across high-bay, low-bay, inbound and outbound operations, with a low latency wireless design built for fast-moving robot traffic.

Services

  • Wireless site surveys between racking, predictive and on-site
  • Warehouse WiFi design for AMR, AGV and robotic picking systems
  • Seamless WiFi roaming and interference troubleshooting
  • Low latency wired backbone for fleet management and WMS systems
  • Monitoring of WiFi coverage, roaming and robot connectivity
  • Network segmentation, NAC and security monitoring across robot (OT) and office networks

Why robot networks are different

Office WiFi is built for laptops that sit still. Robots move fast between steel racking, hand off between access points many times a minute and stop when a packet is late. The network needs to be surveyed, designed and tuned for that traffic, with Cisco, Meraki, Arista or Juniper platforms chosen to match your fleet vendor’s requirements.

FAQ

Can you fix an existing network rather than replace it?

Yes. Most projects start with a survey of what you have, then targeted fixes.

Do you work with our robotics integrator?

Yes. We work alongside integrators and WMS vendors so the network meets their specification from day one.
